Alfredo with a twist

  • 1
    packet very lean bacon cut into small pieces
  • 1
    punnet small mushrooms sliced
  • 1
    red onion, chopped
  • 1
  • 1
    Sauvignon Blanc
  • 1
    crème fraiche
  • 1
    chopped fresh chives
  • Good fresh pasta
  • Parmesan to serve


10 mins
Fry bacon, onion and mushrooms in butter.
Add the wine and bring to boil.
Wait until the pungent smell of the acid in the wine has vanished.
Add the crème fraiche and chives and bring to the boil and turn off the heat.
In the meantime your pasta has cooked to perfection.
Add the pasta to the sauce mix and immediately serve.
