    fusilli (pasta twists)
  • butter
  • 2
    onions, finely chopped
  • 3
    garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4
    tomatoes, sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 2
    green or red peppers, chopped
  • 500
    g
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 500
    g
    bacon, chopped
  • 250
    ml
    mayonnaise
  • 250
    ml
    natural yoghurt

1. Cook the pasta according to packet instructions, drain and rinse under cold running water.

2. Heat 20 g butter. Fry onions and half the garlic until soft.

3. Add tomatoes and simmer until cooked. Season with salt and pepper, and transfer to a salad bowl.

4. Heat a little butter and fry the peppers until they begin to brown. Add to tomato mixture.

5. Fry the mushrooms with the rest of the garlic until cooked. Add to the mixture in the bowl.

6. Cook the bacon, add to bowl. Mix in pasta and leave to cool.

7. Stir in the mayonnaise and yoghurt mixture.
