Who loves a good burger? On the braai?

I've put together this cracking collection of amazing patties and toppings to inspire your next braai.

Your basic hamburger patties
From plain and simple, to spicy Thai. Fire up those coals for a smoky, tender burger fest.

Big boy burgers - This is a great one to start with.

Ostrich burger - A healthier take on a burger with that Venison flavour and spices.

Spicy Thai lamb burger - If you like a bit of spice and Asian influence, this one is for you.

Ribeye steak burgers - Make your patties from ribeye steak. A gourmet burger from scratch.

Rosemary and lemon pork burgers - These delicious pork banger burgers are quick and simple and a lovely change from the traditional red meat burger.

Lentil burgers - One for the veggies.

Amazing topping ideas
Some recipes and inspiration from Food24's HQ.

The Carey - Crispy cider onions rings, bacon crumbs, cream cheese and cranberry jelly. *Faints*

The flavour puncher - Feta and beef burger with roasted tomatoes and onion marmalade.

The Tessa - Big black mushrooms drenched in garlic butter, topped with goats cheese and pickled beetroot.

The Chick - Chicken burger with bacon, blue cheese and figs.

The Chocky33 - Plain and simple with gherkins, Heinz tomato sauce and a toasted bun. Or if she's feeling daring, she'll throw on some pineapple and cheese.

The egg and bacon baby - Spread your base with a little cream cheese and some caramelised onions. Top your burger with a poached egg and crispy bacon.

The Caro - A medium rare lamb burger patty  on a toasted white soft roll, rocket on the base and topped with goats cheese and tomato chilli jam.

Sweet chilli pine and bacon - Grill a large slice of pineapple and streaky bacon alongside your burger. Top with the pineapple, chopped peppadews, a good dollop of sweet-chilli sauce and the bacon. *Faints again*

Mexican burger - Top your burger with some cream cheese and hunky chunky guacamole for a spicy Mexican-style flavour.

Cheese and chutney - Mix grated mature cheddar with some Mrs Balls traditional chutney and Bob's your cheese burger.

The everything - Put it all on for the ultimate burger experience!
