Tuna noodle bake

  • 750
    shell noodles
  • knob of butter
  • 2
    onions- chopped
  • 410
    tomato soup
  • 200
  • 250
    smooth cottage cheese
  • 250
    fresh cream
  • 400
    tuna in vegetable oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 125
    cheddar cheese - grated


Place noodles in a large pot of boiling water and cook until half done (about 6 to 8 minutes). Drain and rinse with fresh water.

Stir in the knob of butter until the noodles are coated. Set aside.

Gently fry onions until tender. Add canned soup and water.

Slowly add the smooth cottage cheese and cream, stir until well combined. Finally, add the tuna and seasoning.

Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Place the noodles in a deep ovenproof dish, pour the sauce mixture over the noodles and top with grated cheese. PLace under the grill for 5 minute or until the cheese is melted.
