Ingredients (14)

lamb mince
feta cheese — crumbled
breadcrumbs — fresh
garlic — cloves, crushed
lemon — zest and juice
dried oregano
eggs
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
For the Tomato sauce
red onion — finely chopped
garlic — cloves, finely sliced
tinned tomatoes — chopped
dried thyme
sugar
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

For the meatballs

Preheat oven to 180ºC.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients well. Take small handfuls of the mixture and form meatballs to your preference. Spray a wire rack with non-stick spray and place in a roasting pan. Place the meatballs on top and bake for 15 minutes.

For the sauce

In a saucepan, fry the onion and garlic until soft and translucent. Add the tomatoes, thyme, sugar and seasoning and allow to reduce for 15 minutes.

Serve with cooked pasta.
