Caramel fudge

Caramel fudge

Ingredients 4
Servings 24 squares
Time 2 minutes


  • 1
    can, caramel
  • 450
    white chocolate, broken into squares
  • pinch of salt
  • icing sugar (optional)

Preparation time: 2 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Chilling time: overnight

Grease a 21 x 16 x 4cm baking tin and line with baking paper. 

1. Combine the canned caramel and chocolate in a large, deep microwaveable glass bowl and microwave for 12 minutes, stirring every minute. The mixture will start to boil after the 7th to 8th minute but just keep on stirring every minute.

2. Add salt to taste.

3. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin, smooth and refrigerate overnight until firm. Lift out onto a cutting board, remove the baking paper and cut into squares.

Sprinkle icing sugar over (if using).

TIP: Vary the flavour: put  half the fudge mixture  in the prepared pan  and sprinkle chopped  dark chocolate over.  Top with the remaining  fudge mixture and  more dark chocolate.
