Ingredients (9)

1 l milk
250 ml rice — brown
60 ml sugar
star anise
cinnamon — stick
salt — pinch
1 l water
5 ml vanilla — essence
60 ml honey

Method:

1 In a pot combine the
milk, rice, sugar, star
anise, cinnamon stick
and salt. Add the water.

2 Bring to a boil,
reduce the heat,
and simmer, stirring
occasionally for one
hour or until the rice
is very tender.

3 Stir in the vanilla and
serve with the honey
drizzled over.
