Healthy new food trend

29 Aug 2013

There’s always a new food trend. Because food is a necessity and it's trendy and happy making.

Add those 3 things together, throw in a dash of convenience, and you are onto a winning formula.

Last year we were all swept up with Monks fever. Chinese food delivery to your door (free) with those cool takeaway boxes and brown bags and all. Then came Oishi Sushi – order online and never pick up the phone. Bliss! That’s dinner-when-you-can’t-be-asked-to-cook covered then.

But think about it, how many times have you sat at your desk at work dreaming that somebody, someday would make you a totally healthy lunch AND deliver it to you? 5 days a week.

Well #whoopwhoop it’s here. Twitter is exploding with @Sandwich this and @Powerlunch that  -  all manner of foodie enteprises tweeting all sorts of colourful and supremely healthy looking meals. With a FREE delivery to your desk!

We have recently followed 3 of these “Twiznesses” namely @PowerLunchCT, @BaguetteBicycle and @freshfitfoods, and Paleo Monkey are also delivering low-carb lunches 5 days a week.

They all look divine. Really, follow them and find out how you can be busy at work and healthy!

I’m sure we are missing a bunch more out there so please let us know who is being clever with healthy, fun and convenient food. We’ll follow them, RT them and try them out. We’re all for clever and innovative foodie ideas, even more so if they are healthy! So tweet us @food24 and give them a shout out.

Speaking of healthy, if you haven’t noticed on twitter we are juicing every morning now. And tweeting about it. So if you are juicing with us then use the #heyjuice hashtag and show off your healthy start to the day.
