What the heck is Moon Milk?

Move over selfie cappuccino, Moon Milk is the new Instagrammable drink but it’s more than just a pretty picture.

Warm milk has been the go-to sleep remedy for centuries and now with added ingredients, Moon Milk is the new elixir that's all the rage in the wellness world. It's a beautiful warm concoction made from milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ashwagandha and a colourful powder of choice such as green matcha, blue pea flower powder or turmeric, which is said to assist in calming and relaxing your body.

According to, ashwagandha powder is a powerful adaptogen that works to improve the body’s reaction to stress and adds to the drink’s calming effects. Where do we sign up?! Adaptogens have been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic healing traditions for thousands of years but they're fast becoming a mainstream ingredient.

Of course, we live in a time where nothing goes un-captured so as expected, Twitter and Instagram have been overflowing with posts dedicated to this healthy night cap. reported that Moon Milk is already one of the top Pinterest trends for 2018 and we can see why.
