A saltwater shellfish, sold fresh. This mollusc has a unique flavour and texture and is also sold canned so that they're available all year round.

Use: Can be steamed, grilled, poached, smoked or eaten raw. The canned oysters are excellent for soups and sauces. The delicate flavour of oysters is complimented when served chilled, with lemon, black pepper and thin brown bread and butter.
