Sri Lankan cuisine utilizes a lot of coconut milk in its dishes because the area is abundant in coconuts. Spices are used differently too - often being roasted and smoked. Curries are unsurprisingly common in Sri Lanka where they are eaten luke warm or even cold with one's hands. This kohlrabi curry is made using the stem and leaves of the plant.
