Struggling to get into the festive spirit? Perhaps a berry fizz cocktail and a Christmas movie will help

It's nearly Christmas time and our editor hasn't quite caught the festive bug yet. Here's how she plans to.

Anyone feel like the run-up to Christmas has come way too soon? We're just 13 days away and I still haven't really 'felt' festive yet. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't put up a Christmas tree...or listened to carols... and not a crumb of a mince pie has passed my lips.

I've decided that this all has to change and I'm actually going to start putting in some effort, starting by mixing myself this rather festive berry fizz cocktail.

If I really had the time and patience I would probably attempt to build a traditional gingerbread house while playing some Boney M in the background.

In reality, I'll most likely cheat my way through Christmas baking - check out these 9 ways to do it. Cheat’s Christmas croissants for the win! Make-ahead desserts are also right up there and I have my eyes on these 3 frozen Summer desserts because we definitely aren't in the North Pole!

And of course, nothing makes you feel more festive than popping open a bottle of bubbles. Our new content producer, Lisa Wallace has put together a killer list of 7 local bubblies that are totally off the beaten track. Try and get your hands on some stat. I know I'm going to!

And if all the above doesn't get one feeling festive, a re-watch of Love Actually is definitely in order.
