News broke on Friday 8th June that world-famous chef and food personality, Anthony Bourdain has died. The chef became a household name in 2000 with the release of his New York Times best-selling book, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary World. A book that tells Bourdain’s story and gives a realistic behind-the-scenes look at restaurant kitchens.
The chef and author’s success catapulted and soon he found himself a media favourite in the food arena. His awards are numerous – including many Emmy Awards for the television show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. His most recent show, Parts Unknown debuted on CNN in 2013 and had a successful run until 2018.
Fans and fellow chefs are devastated by the news of Bourdain’s passing with many sharing their grief on social media.
