‘Weekend away’ menu
You know what my favourite thing about winter is? Weekends away.
Sure
we go away in summer, but then we spend most of our time on lilos or
fishing or running around after kids on the beach. (For the record: I do
miss summer).
But there’s nothing quite like a weekend away in
the winter months with cold nights and crisp clear days, where red wine,
menu planning and 30 Seconds are high on the list of priorities.
When
my friends and I go away we pretty much stick to a routine. On Friday
night we braai. On Saturday we might check out the local restaurant for lunch, and for dinner we always have a fillet steak with mushroom sauce.
And on Sunday lunch we may roast a chicken or a delicious prawn curry might find its way onto the table. And let’s not forget the breakfasts, brunches and beers in between.
So,
we have decided to dedicate this newsletter to Women’s Day, the long
weekend, and to all those of you going away with friends and family.
We are going to load you up with some of our favourite weekend away recipes and let’s not forget the wine.

And if you are hitting the road and have a drive ahead of you, here are some lekker padkos recipes to try out.
