What is the reason for us all meeting in this juicy online environment?

For me, it’s my love of food.

But it’s no ordinary love, mind, it’s cool and groovy, like summer berries dribbled with honey. It’s huge and endless like my unquenchable appetite for bacon, garlic and smoked paprika. It never lets up and it’s always there, looking for new ways to tickle and tease its way into my imagination and… my mouth.

I am not alone. You are all out there with the same delicious quandary. Isn’t it fantastic?

We have limitless taste and flavour combinations to try, new and wonderful produce continually flowing into the marketplace and kick-ass restaurants that are pushing the boundaries (and our taste buds) to the limits all the time.

South Africa really is a top-notch gastronomic place to be these days and I have so many heart warmy feelings about living in this creative and passionate place.

And seeing that this is the month of love, don’t hide behind all the ‘I-don’t-do-Valentine’s-Day’ thing. Let’s embrace it and celebrate our love of all things lusciously foodie.

Tie on your apron, and slide into the kitchen and whisk, stir and experiment with some legendary recipes.

Or you can step out with the people you love most and wine and dine yourselves into the night with these amazing specials.

Let’s lick the sides of the bowl of life.
