Olympic eating
I recently got a grumpy bbm from my best friend on her
holidays with the fairly new husband and in-laws: “Rugby, cricket, golf then
cricket… am I being unreasonable? Last night of hols and all!”
At the time I was glued to The Open, on
her couch, looking after her cat. Empathy levels were low.
But seriously, with all the sport on TV lately it has been a bit of a man-fest
of couch potato pleasure. Yes we’ve had MasterChef SA, but
that was once a week, and now it’s over. (Yes, cooking is a sport).
Now, ladies… it’s our turn!
Finally, the Olympic Games kick off tomorrow and we love watching us a bit of
diving, gymnastics, athletics, rowing, David
Beckham… (you’ll want to watch this video). And we can indulge in the
Olympic sport of stuffing our faces.
I’m going for gold!
Chef Caro has whipped up an
awesome Olympic
Menu with great ideas for TV dinners, snacks and bits and bobsleds.
And if that’s not solid gold enough for you here are some more telly-munching
ideas…
Pizza
base and 4 delicious toppings
Chocolate
and banana spring rolls
There may well be some Olympic dieting going on after the games – but hey, they
only come around once every 4 years.
Enjoy!
