Make toasted cheese with your coffee machine
After reading this awesome Buzzfeed article about 12 surprising things you can do with a coffee maker, one being that toasted cheese (photo on the right), the Food24 team got to thinking, then to tweeting, then to writing.
And well, now we’ve got a whole collection of alternative (appropriate) ways to use your household tools for making cooking a whole lot easier, see our twitter fan’s responses below.
Here are a few we thought of:
– a fondue pot as a fryer
– burgers on a sandwich grill
– ice trays to freeze individual servings of herbs
– drying fruit in a biltong maker
But, we’re on the hunt for more. If you have suggestions please comment below and we’ll take all our ideas collectively and put them together to make all of our lives a bit more creative in the kitchen.
Fry an egg on the coffee hotplate perhaps?
