What is your favourite festival food?

Food24 finds out what gets your graze on at a festival.

You are packing your tents and sleeping bags and your love for fun - and we bet the last thing on your mind is food. Well, it shouldn't be... if you want to keep those energy levels up, you need to eat!

Food is mostly eclipsed by music or booze, but perhaps because it’s such a fundamental part of the experience we tend to forget it’s there.

Most festival goers will remember the sensation of washing down a sarmie, made from various non-perishable items, with a warm beer at lunch.

And don't forget the daily argument of which vendor to visit, which results in eight people splitting up. And at least six of them ending up at the same place anyway. The boerie roll stand.

Or you may even recognise the story of a friend who was drunk and refused to eat anything but ice-cream all weekend.

We're venturing into the trenches of mud and music to try and find the food that rocks your world.

We want to know what you’re eating, what you will never eat again, the amazing recipes you’ve come up with, and whatever other funny festival food stories you may have.
