Strawberry muffins

Delicious fruity muffins with a twirl of chocolate. Perfect for afternoon tea.

Ingredients

 
  • 1/4
    cup
    sunflower oil
  • 1/2
    cup
    milk
  • 1
    large egg
  • Vanilla essence
  • 1/2
    tsp
    sea salt
  • 2
    tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4
    cup
    castor sugar
  • 1 3/4
    cup
    cake flour
  • 1
    punnet chopped strawberries
  • 1
    slab Milky Bar chocolate roughly chopped
Servings: Change Serving
 
 

Method

 
Preheat your oven to 18°C
Lightly whisk the oil, milk and egg.
Combine the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder.
Stir in the oil mixture and fold in the sliced strawberries (leave a few behind) and chocolate.
Spoon into muffin cases and press the remaining strawberries into the batter
Bake for about 25 min until golden brown and springy to the touch.
