Sundays are ideal for gathering together family or friends and heading out into the country for a leisurely, indulgent brunch.

Meeting for brunch, rather than breakfast, means no pressure to get up early and no concerns about having to leave the table early either.

Whether it’s a special occasion or an opportunity to catch up with friends, brunch in a beautiful setting is a triumph.

Makaron’s sophisticated, visually stimulating interiors, leading outdoors onto a sunny terrace, creates the perfect setting for a civilized approach to relaxed weekend dining.

On the elegant buffet table, resident chef Tanja Kruger will be showcasing many of the homemade, handmade, artisan and gourmet treats for which Majeka’s kitchen is already well known, from organic fruit preserves to cured local trout.

The spread will include fresh fruits, quiche, gravadlax, a choice of freshly baked pastries and homemade breads, an array of salads, a traditional roast meat, a hot savoury dish, local cheeses and charcuterie, and a decadent dessert.

Unlimited coffee, tea, water and juice are included in the price of R395 per person, plus a choice of two glasses of sparkling wine or two craft beers.
