Taste some of SA's finest wines at the CWG

The Cape Winemakers' Guild Showcase events give you the chance to try some of the finest wines in SA

04 Aug 2010

Indulge yourself in exceptional wines during the Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Showcase in Cape Town on 12 August and Johannesburg on 2 September, when members of the Guild present the 2010 collection of their finest selection of wines as a run-up to this year’s Nedbank CWG Auction to be held in October.

Wine lovers can enjoy these rare and exclusive wines, hand-crafted exclusively for the Guild Auction by some of South Africa’s leading winemakers during an informal tasting, along with other acclaimed flagship wines from members of the Guild. While there, you can chat to your favourite winemakers and bid on rare signed bottles from previous CWG Auctions during a Silent Auction in aid of the Nedbank CWG Development Trust.

Founded in 1999, the Development Trust assists with education, training and empowerment of young people from wine farming communities and includes the Guild’s Protégé Programme, a mentorship scheme for young, upcoming winemakers and the Cape Winemakers Guild Bursary Scheme.
