Great Grandfather Michael Klue left Oudtshoorn in 1903 and bought the farm Wolvendrift in the Robertson Valley, on the Bonnievale road. Originating from Oudtshoorn in the arid Karoo he farmed with ostriches, cattle and Muscadel. An upcoming market, favourable climatic conditions and the availability of water ensured that viticulture became his top priority. With exceptional insight, Michael's son Josef, enlarged his father's existing cellar. Wine was produced in bulk and sold to wholesaler...
