We’ve all had that moment of scrolling through our social-media timelines and seeing food that just made our stomachs grumble. Below are the best sources to find delicious, quick, fun recipes on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter:

Tasty (Facebook | Instagram)
A punchy source of delicious food ideas. By presenting one recipe in the form of a 30-second to one-minute video, it’s the quickest way to learn how to make delicious new dishes. Our favourites so far are the chocolate cookie crust peanut butter pie, spicy mango chicken wings and cheesy chicken Parmesan-stuffed rolls. Yum.

Potato chips just got an upgrade ???! # Loaded Hasselback Potatoes & Dip Servings: 6-8 INGREDIENTS Hasselback Potatoes 4-5 russet potatoes, large 2 tablespoons olive oil Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste 2 wooden skewers/chopsticks Bacon Cheddar Dip: 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 2½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded 1 cup sour cream 1 cup green onions 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped PREPARATION Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C. Cut the potatoes widthwise about ? inch apart, and ¼ inch from the bottom. Soak the potatoes in water for at least 15-20 minutes to remove some of the starch in the potatoes and to allow the cuts to open wider. In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 2 cups of cheddar, bacon, sour cream, and green onions. Once finished soaking, dry the potatoes off and place them around the inner rim of a larger cast-iron skillet. Heavily brush the potatoes with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Place the skillet in the oven for an hour, or until the potatoes are cooked through and crispy on the top. Once finished, fill the middle of the skillet with the bacon cheddar dip. Top with the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese. Continue baking at 400°F/200°C for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Enjoy!

Chocolate for Basil
(Instagram)

Jerrelle Guy is a vegetarian from Boston who makes some of the most gorgeous-looking (and, I’m sure, delectable) recipes. Her blog is great for recipes, and her Instagram account is a stream of the most lush food photos you’ll ever see. Vegetarian cooking is anything but boring.

I feel like I’m running a mini bakery these days ???? #recipetesting #veganthings

Woolworths SA
Yes, we had to include Woolworths SA. After all, there’s a parody account called Woolworst SA “dedicated to bringing you white privilege, snark and vanity”. But apart from the hilarity when people tweet their bad food experiences, the retailer’s food sites also offer cool recipes and news about deals.

Pan-frying your sandwiches is the way forward. We say: the more butter the better, right? Link in bio.
