Now that Spring is in the air and there is (mostly) sunshine and warmth coming our way… it’s time to start getting your braai grids ready and rearing to go for the Summer ahead.
Braais in South Africa are (very generally) synonymous with potato salads and who could complain? The carby moreish-ness of the humble spud, combined with a char-grilled chop is one of life’s greatest joys. If you’re tired of making the same old PS for your weekend braai, jazz it up and try one of these recipes!
1. French-style potato salad – this one is lighter and more ‘Summery’ with a tangy, zingy vinaigrette and a dose of greens.
2.Mexican potato salad – with a spicy kick from paprika and cumin.
3. Spinach and sweet potato salad – another healthy(ish) version using sweet potatoes. Great for those who are carb conscious.
