Spaghetti bolognaise

Ingredients

 
  • 500
    g
    beef mince
  • 1
    kg
    spaghetti pasta
  • 250
    ml
    tomato paste
  • 1
    tsp
    garlic
  • 2
    tsp
    origanum (to taste)
  • 2
    tsp
    thyme (to taste)
  • 1
    tbsp
    maple syrup

Method

 
Brown the mince, having added the garlic and the thyme and origanum, sweat off the herbs so they can soften, then add the tomato paste, as well as half of the pastes container of water. Add the maple syrup which counter acts the acidity of the tomato paste and let the sauce simmer. Cook the spaghetti as usual, serve with grated cheddar or parmesan on the top. Add olives to get an Italian pasta feel.
