Ingredients (9)

750 ml flour
250 ml sugar
15 ml fresh ginger
5 ml mixed spice — ground
salt — just a pinch
5 ml Baking powder
250 ml oil
SYRUP
250 ml water — lukewarm with bicarbonate of soda
3 eggs — beaten with water

Method:

Add all ingredients abobe order and mix for 5 min.

Grease loaf pans well and dust bottom and sides of pan with flour.

Pour mix into pans and bake for about 50 minutes.

Allow to cool.

Cut and serve
