Fish finger bake

Ingredients (7)

1 kg fish fingers
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
500 ml milk
250 ml cheddar cheese — grated
1 ml salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 rice

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.

Grease a fairly large ovenproof dish and arrange the fish fingers in the bottom of the dish.

Parboil the rice and pour over the fish fingers.

Melt the butter in a pot and stir in the flour.

Stir until smooth and heat until the flour is cooked. Remove from the heat and gradually add the milk.

Stir until the mixture is smooth and heat. Remove from the heat and add the cheese.

Stir until the mixture is smooth and cooked. Season with garlic, salt and pepper.

Pour the cheese sauce over the rice and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.

Bake for about 40 minutes until the fish fingers are cooked through and the cheese is golden brown.
