Cola and red wine lamb stew

Ingredients (14)

vegetables
potatoes — peeled and quartered
30 ml oil
bay leaves
150 ml wine — red
cola
mixed spice
200 ml stock
onion — chopped
tomatoes — canned
1 c flour
500 g lamb — stewing
tomato paste
5 ml sugar

Method:

Place the flour and spices into a plastic bag, place the meat inside and close the bag and shake the bag to coat the meat. Heat the oil in a pot and brown the meat, you might have to do it in batches. Remove the meat and fry the onions. When the onions are translucent, add the stock, wine, cola, tomato paste, sugar and bay leave. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes. Add the meat to this mixture and let this simmer for about 2 to 2 and half hours. After the 2 hours, add the potatoes and simmer again for 20 minutes. Add the can of tomatoes and veggies and simmer for 40 minutes. Serve with rice
