Chocolate caramel squares

A wonderful treat for tea time, or any time!

Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 20 mins
 
 

Ingredients

 
  • 1
    can
    condensed milk
  • 3
    tsp
    sugar
  • 3
    tsp
    butter
  • 2
    shortbread biscuit (packets)
  • 1
    melting chocolate (packet)
 
 

Method

 
Place shortbread biscuits in a glass dish.
Heat the sugar and butter in a small pot.
Add condensed milk to mixture.
Keep stirring until the mixture pulls away from the side and turns light brown.
Spread mixture over the biscuits and let cool for 5 min.
Melt chocolate and spread over the mixture and let cool for 10 min.
Cut in to squares.
