I have to agree with the reviews. Huge dissapointment and the setting just does not save it.

Hi all, have 2 agree. When we 1st started going there, just thought that it was teething problems.....but still exactly the same bad service. Such a pity.

I really wanted to like this restaurant because I absolutely love pastries and freshly baked bread, but having been there twice and received bad service on both occasions I must admit I won't return in a hurry. The portions are tiny and not worth the price, although the bread and cakes are delicious and the coffee is not bad either. The setting is quaint and pleasant so it's unfortunate that the bad service and small portions somewhat dampen the experience.

Such a disappointment. Stick to the coffee and brownies. But don’t order the meatball sandwich - it consisted of 4 small meatballs, on a mini ciabatta with a matchbox piece of cheese, for a whopping R59. No side salad, crisps, chips - nada! That’s right 59 bucks! I even checked with the manager guy, and yip, that was all I was getting. I wish I understood HOW chefs calculate their food costing? I said no thanks, I dont feel like being ripped off today and sent it back. The chicken salad was equally tragic... Surely chefs are aware that when chicken is served cold (from the fridge), it is chewy? Surely they know warm chicken is just so much tastier? And grilled black mushrooms served cold (from the fridge) are just yuck. Surely? Obviously not at Vovo Telo. Nor did they appear concerned. And that’s the most disappointing of all.

Great atmosphere and freshly baked goodies! Coffee is yummy and their chocolate brownies are to die for!
