Unfortunately I cannot give this place a good rating. After we were seated, we waited about 10 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order. When we ordered our food, after almost an hour of waiting, when I asked our waiter to please check on our order, he returned saying "They are dishing it up" 15 minutes later, we still had no food. In all that time - the owner must have walked past our table at least 5 times, not once did she stop to ask if we were okay or if there was a problem. Eventually, we asked for our bill telling the waiter that they were clearly not still dishing up. He spoke to the owner and then brought us our drinks bill. Neither he, nor the owner even bothered to apologize. Shoddy service. Good food? Well we will never know.

I had a pizza and my husband a lamb rump - excellent! Great service and well priced. Highly recommended.

Had dinner ther in Dec 2012 and had such good service from Tshepo! We both had steak and it was really tender (even though I wanted well-done and that often gets messed-up!). All in all a good experience

@Megan yes Megan I admit I did final swear at the owner which is not my style, but she bluntly asked me what the hell must she do when she receives the meat like that from the butcher, she never offered any solution to the problem and just cranked me up. Unfortunately I had a outburst which I am not proud of. Apologies for making it uncomfortable to you, we where there 2 days earlier also and sat outside and had the most amazing time and knew this is where we want to eat on New years eve, the food was not up to standard no matter what happened and the owner did not even try to rectify the situation.

@ Wessel Badenhorst. Unfortunately for us we were sitting at the table behind you in Vitos when you verbally abused the staff and swore at the owner. In my eyes there is just no excuse or room in a restaurant for arrogance and abuse from people like you. Quite frankly I would have thrown you out. I am sure had you spoken "nicely" to the owner your problem would have been solved.

Very nice restaurant with fantastic meals.

On New Years Eve my wife and I and friends of ours decided to dine at the Vito's Italian Restaurant in Clarens, we all ordered steaks and each a different sauce, all 4 the steaks was the same medium to well, when the steaks arrived we noticed that two of the steaks where significantly smaller than the other two steaks, we asked to see the manager which in return became very abrupt with me and said what do I want her to do this is how she gets it from the butcther, I said just give me for what I paid for, she then called her daughter than also very rudely said to me what do you want me to do, I got so angry and told her to take her f..... steaks, our friends continued to eat and we sat their waiting for eternity, after cooling down I asked if they can please redo our steaks, to our shock they took the same steaks cut it even smaller and threw it back on the grill, I decided to keep quiet and eat and not respond, I paid R500 which I dont feel I got my moneys worth, they also mixed uo the sauces and overpriced at R25 a sauce, they will never see me again and I tell everybody about my bad experience
