Set against the backdrop of mountains and forests in Limpopo is The
Wood Owl, bringing guests to the lodge and visitors passing through superb
South African cuisine with the option of al fresco dining, so you can eat
beneath the stars. The menu offers a few select dishes that use only the
freshest and locally sourced ingredients.
The Nguni beef fillet is fabulous, served with mash with burnt sage and a spicy
monkey nut sauce, and hot buttery sweet potatoes. Their soups change daily and
are accompanied by a fabulous Venda potbread.
The dishes are kept simple and traditional but still packed with African
character and flavour.
