Country fare at its' best at The Wild Apricot, Montagu's Country
Hotel's beautiful and welcoming restuarant. Lunch is an outside affair, seeing that the winter middays are the best
time of the year to drench yourself in sunshine, and in the summer a vine
covers the pergola adding to the country atmosphere.
Light lunches and a small selection of traditional dishes are available of
which oxtail in the winter of course is as total winner and our Pear and Blue
Cheese Salad in the summer.
Dinner is a somewhat more formal affair. Kosie Hanekom, the resident pianist
provides beautiful music to accompany your dinner. Candles set the scene and
the staff is friendly and helpful. If you're a met lover then this is the place
for you, as The Wild Apricot serves up some of the most succulent meat dishes
in the Western Cape.
Lamb shanks, babotie and other South African favourites feature prominently on
the menu so be prepared for a hearty meal.
