@DaveBenoni Actually Dave never been to the restaurant, can't judge it if I have never been there, so they therefore deserve the benefit of the doubt, don't imagine conspiracy theories. I just can't fathom why someone would rate a 1 star after admitting that the restaurant was busy and they waited 15 min, I assume from response you find this acceptable. No Dave don't even live remotely close to the area.

@Paul, get a life Paul and let's be real if a 15 min wait was the worst experience you have had, shame. As you mentioned waiters were busy scurring around. Yes admittedly 15 min might be a bit long for no attention, but post this on a review is even more rediculous

We looked forward to a great evening at The Meat Company, but were left extremely disappointed. We were seated and left unattended for at least 15 minutes, without being presented with as much as a menu, while busy waiters scurried about, serving other tables, not once glancing in our direction. Suffice it to say we promptly left. This was by far the worst service I have received from any restaurant at Melrose Arch.

Was showed to our seat and then forgotten. No waiters in sight and all this on a Saturday night at 7. After 15 mins of waiting we got up and went to Orient next door which was amazing. Meat company will never see me again.

I had dinner with friends in the second week of January. For what is styled (and priced) as a premier steakhouse, I was underwhelmed. The basting on the rump arrived burnt (either the pan was too hot or wasn't cleaned). To the waiter's credit, he quickly brought me a fillet instead. While it was well prepared, it wasn't a great cut, possibly indicating a cheap supplier or a chef that didn't do a proper QA on the meat. The insult was really the sorbet: cheap, sugary, rubbish. Really, I expect more, especially considering the many other restaurants in the same price class (or cheaper) that prepare better steaks.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Meat Company in Melrose Arch for spoiling my Christmas lunch on Friday 23 November. There was a group of 13 people at our table. We all ordered and when the food came they only brought 11 dishes. They simply forgot about 2 of us. Some guy then approached our table and said sorry but the food will be brought shortly. They then brought the 2 dishes that you could see had been rushed through as they were both totally raw and the presentation was disgusting. I sent my food away and told them to leave as I will not be eating. The lady with me sent hers back for re-cooking and it then came back so overdone that she could not eat it at all. They then had the audacity to bring me a warm beer. If your establishment cannot cater for large groups you should have the decency to warn us up front so that we do not waste our time coming to a place only to be very disappointed . This type of service is just not acceptable. The result is that we both had to sit there and watch the others eat and the day was spoilt.
