Takumi sushi restaurant in central Cape Town is run by Papa San, the ultimate sushi chef hailing from Japan.   He's strict with his sushi, but it's worth the experience of delicious and fresh fish with true Asian flavours.

Takumi is a no nonsense, unfussy Japanese diner, but every playground has its rules.

Here are some of his rules:
    -No debates allowed about who serves the best sushi in Cape Town
   - Order quick and enjoy the wait with your friends
    -Some dishes are quicker to make than others, please consider sharing
    -Please specify if you don’t want any wasabi on sushi
    -Please direct any complaints to Papa San
    -No pets, children under 10 years old or wise guys
    -No discount offered
    -Changes to any items will result in an extra charge
    -BYO wine charge R40 per 750ml bottle, limited to 1 bottle per 4 customers
    -R100 per person minimum spend
    -A 10% service charge will be automatically added to your bill
    -No payment by Diners Club or Amex
    -Don't be shy, show us your Arigato Card: Spend R100 or more on food per person to qualify for a stamp on your Arigato  
     Card. 
    -Collect 9 stamps within 6 month period and get a free sushi special (or any other dish to the same value) with your 10th visit.
    -As always: open until owner’s choice
