I have once again been overwhelmed by the great food and atmosphere by this Restaurant, yes the food takes a little longer than the conventional fast food burger, but wow it is definitely worth the wait. Everything is made fresh on site, the rolls, the patties and fries are not prefrozen. There was live music which added to the ambiance. Definitely recommend and will be returning

In all a very disappointing experience. VERY overcooked food, no vodka, no tequila, no mojitos, (and the list goes on). PATHETIC service! What upset me the most was that the place had so much potential, but nothing was being done with it.

We went to Saints over the weekend and I think we have found our new favourite restaurant. Awesome vibes when you walk in provided by their classic Rock n Roll music and friendly staff. They have a fantastic beer selection and even let you try the beers that they have on tap. My husband and I ordered burgers from their custom burger menu that allows you to create your own burger. They were the juiciest, most flavourful burgers we have ever had and well priced for what you get. We will definitely be back!

Our group of friends has an informal "dinner club" every month where we all get together and go to different restaurants all over Cape Town. We usually try go to different places and most times end up having a really great time. So it seemed logical to try out Saints as the website professes that it is a place with great food and a great vibe. As we arrived, we were shown to our seats and saw that our dinner party of 8 people (5 of which are big guys) had been squished into a table setting meant for 6 (or maybe 7 at a push), this would ordinarily be fine, but as the restaurant was completely empty, I wondered why we could not be given another table. Anyway, our spirits were still high and we were keen to have some good food. Our waitress arrived to take our order and we began to realise that certain items on the menu are no longer available (and have not been for quite some time), this was much to the dismay of some of us as we had been looking forward to the sweet potato chips, unfortunatley according to the owner/chef/manager (we are not sure what his role is) you cannot get sweet potatoes anywhere in South Africa!Nevertheless we all found something that we were happy to order and placed our orders. Soon after that a waitress emerged carrying a tray with drinks on it for the other table, she was a bit ambitious in her attempt to serve the drinks and as a result of her high flying ambition, I ended up with an entire glass of beer being spilt all over me, right from the top of my head down to my toes. As if this was not enough a glass splinter also got lodged in my hand and it started to bleed quite a bit. Instead of helping me clean up, the waitress (who by now had realised her lmited waitressing abilities) RAN AWAY and sent someone else to help tidy up the huge mess she created. To her credit she did apologise and offered to pay for a dessert however this offer was pointless as the two desserts that anyone was interested in were not available (surprise!!). The food took about 40 min to come out and came out in a very staggered fashion. The food was good but not amazing and frankly too expensive for what it was. The waitress was terrible (and I'm not just saying that because she decided to give me a beer bath, she genuinely didnt know anything on the menu and refused to clean up our table). All in all, it was not a good experience, the owner/chef/manager gave poor excuses as to why things were not running properly (did you know that in addition to not being able to purchase sweet potatoes in South Africa, you also cannot get any decent bananas?- this is some of the excuses that we were offered). There are many good burger places in cape town so you have to acually make an effort to stand out and unfortunately Saints does not make the grade. We still made the most of it and had a great dessert at a near by place so our night was saved. I hope Saints gets their act together soon as it is a cool concept but at the moment it does not deliver.

Four of us went there on Saturday night for dinner, our drinks took over a hour and a half to arrive. We all ordered our dinner at the same time and only two raw burgers with burnt onion rings arrived and after waiting another hour and the other two burger never arriving at all we left. The manageress didn't seem to care at all about any of this. We did however go to Van Hunks down the road and got served hot food and cold drinks quickly.

Horrible experience, Waited 45minutes for our cocktails, had to look for and ask the waiter numerous times for our drinks, Waited forever for our food to arrive and when it did it was completely raw. With so many decent burger joints in Cape town this place will never see my money again (the only positive was the quality of music playing)

I recently had a terrible experience at Saints. We took out friends who were here from out of town and were really looking forward to a fun evening out. What a huge dissapointment! It took 45 minutes for watered down, tasteless cocktails to arrive. After we sent these back, we waited a further 15 minutes to get ice for the table, until I eventually had to go to the service bar myself to get it, because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Finally our burgers all arrived raw, we sent the first one back before realising they were all raw, after waiting another while with no sign of the burger we sent back or our waitress, we decided to leave. The waitress then asked to us to speak to the manger otherwise she going to have to pay the bill. The manager came out of the kitchen with an arrogant attitude and when i said that amongst other things the burgers were all raw, she responded by sarcastically asking if there was any blood on the plates. There was no hint of an apology or any effort to get us to stay. Luckily we went to another restaurant down the road with good food, good service and the evening was partially salvaged, although we were still embarresed to have to go through that experience with visitors from out of town. Never again!

Very poor experience last weekend - waited an hour and a half for our food with many other tables complaining about poor service (one table waited over 2 hours only to have their order wrong). Really badly handled by management - couldn't believe it when we were told not to worry since the waitress will pay for burgers that were late! Shocking way to handle a situation. Excuse was a larger table booked upstairs (if you know large table booked, plan for it). Next time offer guests beer-tasting, bread for the table or something to help with the wait...

Absolutely awesome, quality of food is excellent. Theburgers have an amazingly different flaovur to the run of the mill burgers out there. Found the staff to be vibey and fresh and the venue was outstanding from design and originality.

You know that there is a problem when the waitrons and all the patrons are dressed in jackets, coats and scarves. It was freezing in there last night and the door to the balcony (where the smokers were coming in and out of) could not close. The venue is stark which does not help the cold environment. The waitress tried by being friendly and helpful. The food was good, but not as exceptional as the marketing indicates. R79 for their cheapest burger is not cheap and the portions of the sides are small. All in all, we will not rush back.
