This restaurant has great service, but is not a great sushi bar. The Nigiri has far to much rice and the Nori (rolls) are far to big and difficult to eat. Overall the food is not rolled well and falls apart far too easily. They only had one empty container of low sodium soy sauce, don't ask for extra ginger after 10, kitchen is closed and Manager does not have a key to the refrigerator. Another recommendation, do not sit close to the windows, cockroaches might join you on your way home as they are patrolling the windowsill. Who knows what is happening in the kitchen? They won't see me again, and no recommendations either, AVOID if you want a good night out.

Why do all Asian restaurants in Cape Town need to serve sushi? I love sushi, but Saigon should serve Vietnamese food...and trust me...the food they are serving ain't Vietnamese. I don't blame Saigon. Just wish the Capetonian palate would expand enough to allow a real Vietnamese restaurant to prosper

I have never tasted better sushi in my life, I've been to Sevruga, Tank, Muzo Bar, you name it, Saigon is really the best quality, They are not shy with their salmon, avo etc. Orgasmic is not even the word to describe how good their sushi is.

I went there last year as Mystery shopping and i thought the food was divine..really like I died went to heaven and came back. I went back there last year a lot of times. I am from Mauritius ( Studied at UCT for 5 years) and would recommend anyone visiting Cape Town to definitely go there.

I have never experienced such poor service and food! Unprofessional staff. I went to have sushi and dessert last night, the sushi was poor and I found a strand of hair in my dessert. When I complained to the waiter, he laughed in my face and questioned if I know how the dessert and sushi should be. I always raved about Saigon but now I will never recommend it to anyone!

Saigon Vietnamese restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Cape Town, not only is the service outstanding but the food is so good. The chef really knows how to keep us coming back for more, the sushi is the best ever, I have never had sushi like that before

Karibu "Karibu is one of my favourite restaurants to pop in for a dinner that never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed with a distinct South African feel that's both elegant and upmarket. The service is friendly and efficient - I always rely on the manager (Bruce) for meal recommendations which thus far has been spot-on, yet I'm sure the menu as a whole is good......"
