Grootobs is not just an eco paradise but also a culinary destination in its own right.  From fine dining in their sophisticated restaurants to picnics on the beach, Grootbos offers a diversity of spectacular settings to enjoy the best of South African cuisine.

The sophisticated, elegant architecture of the Red Indigo accentuates the spectacular views of Walker By and the rolling plains of pristine fynbos.

Inspired by the surrounding forest, thick wooden beams branch upwards in tree-like configurations on pillars of clay brick to hold the double-volume interior aloft.  The natural, earthy tones with touches of bright colour and texture blend perfectly with the surroundings.  The comfortable lounge and bar area offer casual space for relaxing and socialising.
