I'd just like to weigh in on the Primi pasta special debate. We went to Primi Sea Point last night, and I thought about the Love Triangle special (which I only knew about because of the discussion on this site), but didn't bother about it because my partner and I would never agree on the same dish! When we both ordered different pastas, the waiter told us about the special and insisted we have it - and he said that whatever we couldn't finish, we could take home (I specifically asked). He was so friendly and helpful, and he even showed genuine concern about a food allergy that I'd never normally mention (I hate being THAT customer), but had to disclose when he tried to convince me to have a certain pasta. Anyway, the upshot is that the pastas were huge (we each got a double portion!), and what we couldn't finish was bagged for us in lovely takeaway boxes. So obviously, the special does not preclude customers from taking home what they can't finish, and Primi Cavendish is just being ridiculous. If you want a good Primi experience, rather go to Sea Point. They're consistently good, always friendly and certainly won't be feeding your leftovers to the next table!
