Pleasant Pheasant is a family-style restaurant and pub, run by sisters Kardoes & Kiewiet in the beautiful Riebeek Valley, about an hour from Cape Town.

The restaurant is situated on the historic Allesverloren Wine Estate, under huge old oaks, just outside the village of Riebeek West. From here one has beautiful views over vineyards and the valley, framed by blue mountains in the background.

The restaurant is a homely, relaxed place with a convivial atmosphere. Sit around the cosy central fireplace on cold winter days or dine al fresco under the oaks or the front stoep in summer. There is a wonderful playground for the kids and you may even choose to order a picnic to enjoy on the lawn, if you wish.

Good food, value for money and something for every taste, just about sums up the menu. Steaks, burgers, Kaapse Kos (bobotie, bredies, etc) and calamari are but a few of the very popular items on the extensive menu.
