Second time watching the football there last night and what a great time we had! The service and food is excellent considering the amount of people they seat. Even the giant doorman, who had to deal with all sorts, kept a smile on right through the night! Well done Paulaner - we've been locals for years and will continue after the World Cup !

Paulaner is without a doubt the best place to go for a good vibe, service and the best beer. For any place to handle the amount of patrons they do, they must be doing something right!! As for the ques, what do you expect? I witnessed first hand how abusive patrons are when they dont get their own way, if it was me I would not have tollerated such abuse! Next time wait in the que like everyone else or get there early. Thumbs up to Paulaner and all their staff for handling the World Cup so well!! Laduuma!

A bunch of mates and I decided to watch the footie here – FANTASTIC IDEA! We loved it – Yes there was a mother of a queue but HELLO its the friggin quarter finals! We prepared ourselves for a long queue – it was worth the wait. I had a schnitzel with mushroom sauce which was delish and my weisbeir hit the spot (BTW our drinks were served within 10mins of ordering which I think is very acceptable)! The doormen were a great hoot as well ? we had such an awesome time for the first game that we decided to stay on for the next game as well. Now people...”Yea who fail to plan, plans to fail” Prossssssst! ?

Absolutely appalling. The staffs attitude towards patrons wishing to view SWC games here whilst enjoying a meal leaves much to be desired. Felt like a criminal trying to get my family including children through the door to join me for lunch where I already had a table. I have NEVER been spoken to in such a manner in a restaurant from untrained management who screamed at me in front of other customers. Unfortunately also left a very bad impression with my international guests. Food highly overpriced. NEVER AGAIN!

Shocking! The service was appalling, what was ordered wasnt delivered, from type of beer to chips or sauted potato. The food was so dissapointing. Steaks ordered medium rare were so hard and overcooked you could knock somebody out with them. When sent back, what was returned was just as bad. At R115 - thats just daylight robbery.

Daylight Robbery, ordered a bottle of JC le Roux, waiter return with a bottle of Graham Beck Brut Sparkling wine, JC le Roux was out of stock. asked how much it is, waiter could not tell us, when the bill arrived they charged R265 for the bottle of Graham Beck Brut that retails for R80.

Karibu "Karibu is one of my favourite restaurants to pop in for a dinner that never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed with a distinct South African feel that's both elegant and upmarket. The service is friendly and efficient - I always rely on the manager (Bruce) for meal recommendations which thus far has been spot-on, yet I'm sure the menu as a whole is good......"
