Situated in an old bank De Oude Bank Bakkerij is an artisan bakery and a magical venue.

The decor is old world with French-sound music playing softly in the background.

It's all about bread and authentic food.  The loaves are nicely displayed behind the counter and over the counter hanging, you see Lucas Jamon ham.    There is a choice of baguette, rustique (ciabatta), sourdough or dark rye.  You can choose breads from the portion menu (very affordable) and add farm butter, pestos, marmalade, cheeses or meats.

Breakfasts offer the like of smoked bacon and scrambled eggs with slow roasted tomatoes.  Coffee, wine (sourced from small Stellenbosch wineries) or beers are also available.
