We celebrated a special occasion at Nelson's Eye, and what an excellent choice it was. Dining in this restaurant feels a bit like stepping into a bygone era, with its old paintings, dark wood interior and candlelit corners. The food is straightforward and hearty, the portions are generous, and - true to the rumours - the steak is some of the best in Cape Town. The wine list is on the pricey side but they do offer corkage. We didn't get as far as dessert, so we'll most definitely have to return.
