Tried Monks a few days ago, after all the hype I was very disappointed with the food, it was very soggy, which made the packaging soggy too.

I really do like Monk's food but it is way inconsistent. The sweet and sour chicken is always good but for a second time in a row the chicken was chewy and there wasn't enough souce. Haven't ordered since it happened for the third time in a row.

the delivery was fast, so no problem there sweet nd soyr porl was not bad but the veggie spring roll awful. overall, will rder again. cheers.

I have ordered several times, very quick delivery and good food (in my case, every time). The card machine they bring along is a huge plus. One negative: shit loads of onions...

Delivery was fast and food arrived hot. But there where the good ended. The crispy duck was very greasy, the spring onions where missing and there where hardly any Hoi Sin sauce. The sweet and sour was not lekker at all, mainly onions and in a strange sweet chilly sauce...reminded me on a wellingtons sauce. Not going to order again, there is too much choices in the CBD

My first time ordering from Monk's after I'd heard good things. The service was great and efficient. However, the food was disappointing. The crispy beef I ordered looked an tasted like charcoal. Am hoping it was an off night as I'd like to give them another chance.

Service over the phone is good, an intelligent, prompt person who took my order quickly without any of the usual hassles (done in 1 minute the second time). Delivery is quick and efficient. Price is good and portions sufficient even for a heavy eater. Food could be a bit better, do not know if it lost a bit of its freshness along the way, but I still enjoyed it and finished everything. Side dishes a bargain at R10, definitely order some with your meal.

Tried Monk's for the first time last night and was very impressed. It's easy to order by phone (don't know what happened there for you PJ) and they really do deliver quickly. The food was delicious, not too greasy and plentiful! We tried our "classic" Chinese orders this time round - Sweet&Sour Pork and Chicken with Cashew nuts - but are very keen to try the other offerings next time!

Their food is fantastic and they are super-fast. Love the American-styled carton containers too! Finally we can get Chinese food delivered without Mr Delivery's ridiculous prices!

I ordered from Monks for the first time yesterday. I was super surprised. The Food was really good. I could have eaten the Egg Fried Rice on its own. Loved the crispy Beef. My Girlfriend love the prawns and Chilli....Its so good, I'm ordering again today....

I tried Monk's last night and was thoroughly impressed. The delivery time was spot on - only 30min, the portions were good and the food was tasty. I still think Mr Chan's in Sea Point makes better sweet 'n sour pork, but for a quick fix of Chinese, this is a great option.

They said 30 minutes, it took 30 minutes to arrive. Food was so so, lacked a bit of flavour and was quite greasy but this is the first time we tried it. Portion size was sufficient.
