The restaurant is named to commemorate the historic date 1707, when the estate was liberated from the original governor's estate, Vergelegen, after the sanctimonious demise of Willem Adrian van der Stel.
The dining experience includes dishes from Africa and the East including Madagascar, Zanzibar, India and Malaysia.
The 5 course table d'hote menu includes a mouth-watering selection at only R195 per person and includes a wholesome soup, delightful starter, refreshing sorbet, hearty entree, delectable dessert buffet and tea or coffee.
Sunday Lunch Buffet is also served at R185 per person.
