My La Pineta experience was fantastic, the food was absolutely incredible, the service was great and the view was gorgeous. The pork medallions that I had were completely delicious! I'm not normally one for pork, but the short description of the meal in the menu sounded so good, I had to try it, and it was definitely worth it. The citrus sauce it is served with is beautiful! I had the torte for desert, wich was really amazing! And I LOVED the little peanut butter ice cream balls it is served with! Portion sizes are just perfect, not too much, not too little, just enough. I have to agree with Andre. I almost can't believe the negative reviews. I have been there twice now, once with a 30th birthday party and once with my girlfriend. Service and food where amazing both times. The steak there is some of the best I have ever had. The Lindt Torte is a must have if you have space left. Great food with a view to match!

Gosh I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews but I guess it's more in peoples nature to complain when an experience does not live up to standards than to provide praise when it does? Nevertheless, I'm here to only say good things about La Pineta as it's a firm favourite which we try to visit monthly. I'm yet to have a bad steak there; in fact scratch that I'm yet to have a steak there that's NOT totally amazing. The Lindt Torte is absolutely incredible! Although a smallish menu already I think they can trim it even more to help keep up the high standards. They have a well balanced wine-list and it's always such a pleasure to go there. Keep up the good work guys!

Visited them twice. First was in February. Terrible service, it took them 3 tries to cook my steak properly. My wife was finished 1,5 hours before I got my food! Starter and main also arrived at same time. After I complained to chef/manager Andre Loubser, he gave me a voucher to return. I did so on 23/5/2011. Exact same story. They forgot about our starter and pork medallions were inedible. After confronting the manager again, he said he remembered me, but pulled up his shoulders and left!
