The restaurant has a healthy local following and gives visitors the opportunity to interact with an exciting cross-section of Cape Town society.

The menu is Italian with an emphasis on seafood.  They offer a number of home-made pastas and their extensive wine list is compiled by La Perla's sister restaurant, the Wijnhuis, in Stellenbosch.
