The service here has been steadily slipping for months now. Once I waited 13 minutes between sitting down and telling a waiter to bring me two menus. Only one arrived, so I asked for another, for my wife who had not yet arrived, but this menu never arrived. Ordering food, coffee and the bill were similarly sloth-like. Sadly, this seems to be the level of service to expect if you sit inside.

On a day with temperatures of 22 degrees in the enclosed outside area, the manager decided to light a heater for a table who looked as if they had arrived from the beach. No other diners were asked if they minded. Three other tables had to change seats to avoid the blazing heat and when I complained the manager moved the heater, but even closer to my companion. We left without finishing our coffee and the manager seemed completely disinterested. I love Knead, but will reconsider going there again.

Popped into Knead yesterday evening for the burger special. had to wait 50 min for 4 simple burgers that tasted overcooked, hard and grizzly. Yes, it was a special (R40 each) but not worth it at all. On saying that, the setting is relaxing and the staff are pleasant. Wont be ordering the burger again.
