Kloof Street House feels like home. With the decor comprising of the perfect balance between Colonial and Victorian and features ranging from oversized chesterfield couches to age old artefacts you will certainly melt upon arrival.

The restaurant comprises of areas like the intriguing travelling case bar and the homely library room, to name a few, you cannot help but reminisce upon a time long forgotten when you are here.

Meals range from well plated and thought out starters to filling steak fillets. Fancy a cocktail or a beautiful wine list, Kloof Street House will certainly provide both and a wonderful dining experience.

Had a delicious dinner with friends on Friday. Best fillet I've had in a while and bearnaise with fresh tarragon. Think this might be a new favourite :-)

We had a nice meal with friends sitting outside on a nice evening. Although service was amateurish, but friendly. Our food was fine. Nice fried fish, with very nice crispy potatoes. Nice burger. And a good sirloin sandwich. All in all, a pleasant evening.

The food was under cooked and cold. We sent it back and the second time, and still it was raw and cold. We ordered out drinks and it came after the third time we ordered. Won't be back.

i have been to this venue under two other owners but this time it's finally hit the nail on the head. A very warm welcome and classic vibey decor greeted us. The new owners have taken out some internal walls so the atmosphere is vastly improved. We had a selection of sharing plates which were all a generous size and cooked to perfection. The service was quick and attentive and we had a chocolate fondant to finish....mmmmmmm

In a word..."Superb"..I cant wait to return. This is one of the most beautiful venues I have been to in a while. Such amazing attention to detail. The calamari starter was delicious. The only flaw would be the paper serviettes. ..Well done Kloof Street House!
