As you enter the restaurant in Swellendam, you are transported to an old world. The low reed ceiling, thick plastered walls and candlelit atmosphere all physically transport you to a bygone era of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Freerk is in control of the kitchen, where an eclectic menu is prepared, representing a variety of cooking disciplines, from Cape Malay fare to classic French reductions.
